Security
At PC People UK, we take security seriously. We offer free of charge penetration testing on your network, regardless of whether you have a contract with us or not. Below are are couple of things to keep in mind when thinking about your data security and IT Support.
Identify sensitive information
inventory your company's potentially sensitive information and document on which computers, servers and laptops it's stored.
Isolate sensitive information
Keep sensitive information on the fewest number of computers or servers, and be sure to segregate it
from the rest of your data and network if possible. The fewer copies of data you have, the easier it is to protect.
SSL and encryption
Ensure sensitive data is encrypted. This way, in the event of a breach of security, the data cannot be easily
accessed. In addition, using a secure, encrypted connection such as SSL protects sensitive data while it is in transit
across the Internet.
Employee policy
Make sure employees only download software from reputable sources. Alternatively, institute security
policies that block employees from downloading and installing any software not already verified by an administrator.
In addition, employee passwords must be strong (at least 10 characters, upper & lowercase letters, numbers & symbols)
and must be regularly changed.
PC People UK can help with all of the above and all your security needs. Contact us for more details.
